From 22 to 26 June 2026, two professors from the Fire University, Wioletta Rogula-Kozłowska and Agata Walczak, took part in an Erasmus+ mobility programme at the Technical University of Varna in Bulgaria. The Technical University of Varna is a state university, founded in 1962, which offers higher education in the fields of technical sciences, natural sciences, mathematics and informatics, social, economic and legal sciences, and pedagogical sciences in engineering and technologies.
The lecturers had the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering and Technologies, where they were introduced to the university’s research equipment. The lectures prepared by Agata Walczak and Wioletta Rogula-Kozłowska were very well received by the staff at the Bulgarian university. Following the lectures, staff from both universities discussed the capabilities of their universities. They also discussed opportunities for establishing cooperation in the field of scientific research, joint projects and internships.
The professors from the Fire University also held a meeting at the International Affairs Department. They discussed staff and student mobility under the Erasmus+ programme.
The entire visit took place in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It provided an opportunity to familiarise oneself with the research opportunities at both universities and to establish new contacts amongst academic and research staff.
