Today, within the framework of the EU Road Safety Exchange Best Practice Seminar project, the Fire University hosted an international delegation.
Among the foreign guests were representatives of transport and road safety institutions from Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, and Romania.
The delegation was accompanied by Mr. Konrad Romik – Director of the Secretariat of the National Road Safety Council – and Mr. Jacek Charon – Senior Specialist at the KRBRD Secretariat.
The opening of the second day of the seminar at our university was conducted by the Rector-Commandant, BG Tomasz Klimczak.
During the substantive part of the programme, the following topics were presented:
- The Vice-Rector for Education and Student, Col. Wiktor Gawroński, presented the functioning of the Fire University.
- The Vice-Rector Commandant for Operations, Col. Paweł Fliszkiewicz, presented issues related to the development of technical rescue in Poland.
- 1PV Grzegorz Zupan from the Department of Emergency Medicine delivered a lecture on post-accident care and the system of training children and youth in rescue operations.
The visit was concluded with a practical demonstration of technical rescue operations carried out at the Fire University Fire and Rescue Unit, where guests had the opportunity to become familiar with activities conducted by the State Fire Service.
