As part of the Erasmus+ programme, CPT Mateusz Urbańczyk from the Fire University completed a teaching mobility at Niccolò Cusano University in Rome, Italy.
One of the key highlights of the visit was a lecture on the preparedness of the Polish State Fire Service for incidents involving electric vehicles and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The presentation covered operational procedures, specialised equipment, and the practical aspects of rescue and firefighting operations in this rapidly evolving field.
The mobility also provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with representatives of the partner university, discuss current challenges in the field of safety and fire protection, and strengthen academic cooperation.
The visit contributed to promoting the Fire University within the international academic community and further reinforced cooperation with the partner institution under the Erasmus+ programme.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Niccolò Cusano University for its warm hospitality and for providing an excellent environment for this academic exchange.
