On 15–18 June 2026, Col. Karina Jarosławska-Kolman from the Department of Medical Rescue of the Fire University participated in a teaching mobility carried out under the Erasmus+ programme at the University of Patras in Greece.
The stay was coordinated on the side of the host institution by Associate Professor Anastasios Manikas from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras.
The programme of the visit included both teaching and academic components. One of the key elements of the mobility was a lecture on emergency medical services education in Poland, covering topics such as first aid, qualified first aid, the education of paramedics, and the impact of the ERC 2025 guidelines on the teaching process.
During the visit, meetings were also held with representatives of the partner university, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of education organisation, teaching methods, and international cooperation. An important part of the visit was also the familiarisation with the infrastructure of the University of Patras, including selected laboratories and teaching and research facilities.
The mobility provided a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the functioning of the partner university, develop teaching and intercultural competences, and establish academic relationships that may serve as a basis for further cooperation between the Fire University and the University of Patras.
The visit contributed to the promotion of the Fire University in the international academic environment and to strengthening relations with the foreign partner under the Erasmus+ programme.
