From 25 to 29 May 2026, representatives of the Fire University participated in an Erasmus+ mobility visit at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), Lithuania.
The delegation consisted of:

- Weronika Lasota.
During the visit, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the University's activities, with particular focus on the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Transport Engineering. The Fire University representatives also visited modern research laboratories, where they were introduced to solutions and technologies used in materials engineering, fire safety, civil engineering, and transport engineering.
The programme also included meetings with representatives of the University administration. Participants became familiar with the operation of the Rector’s Office, Human Resources and Finance Departments, as well as the International Cooperation Department. During these meetings, the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between the Fire University and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, including activities carried out under the Erasmus+ Programme, was highlighted.
The delegation also visited the Sustainability Hub, where they learned about the University's initiatives related to modern technologies, infrastructure development, and sustainable management.
An important part of the visit was a meeting with firefighters from one of the fire and rescue units in Vilnius. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the organisation of the service, firefighting and rescue equipment, and the specific characteristics of the Lithuanian fire and rescue system.
The visit provided valuable professional experience and contributed to the further development of international cooperation of the Fire University within the Erasmus+ Programme.
