From May 19-21, 2026, the EFSCA Annual Conference and General Assembly took place in Ostrava.
The Fire University was proudly represented by Col. Wiktor Gawroński, PhD Fire Eng., Dean of the Faculty of Safety Engineering and Civil Protection.
The main theme of this year's meeting was "Innovative Approaches to Training and Communication in Emergency Response". During the event, participants attended expert panels covering topics such as advanced tactical simulations, international rescue operations and humanitarian aid, as well as the use of drones for situational awareness in fire and rescue missions. The program also included a visit to the Fire Service College training facility in Frýdek-Místek.
