From September 29 to October 3, 2025, cadet officer Maciej Urbański from the Fire University participated in a student mobility program under the Erasmus+ initiative. The visit took place at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (Sisekaitseakadeemia) in Tallinn, Estonia.

During his stay, the student had the opportunity to learn about the functioning of Estonian rescue services and the training system at the Academy. He visited, among others, local fire stations, the Crisis Response Center, and the Estonian Firefighting Museum. The visits included discussions on unit organization, firefighting and rescue tactics, as well as the equipment used. A particularly valuable aspect was the opportunity to exchange experiences with Estonian firefighters and students.

As part of the program, cadet officer Urbański also spent a day with a field supervisor at the Northern Rescue Center. This provided insight into the specifics of daily service, as well as the command and coordination system for emergency operations at the regional level.

The culmination of the mobility was a visit to the modern training ground of the Estonian Academy. During the visit, the cadet took part in high-angle and water rescue exercises, and also became familiar with the training infrastructure, equipment, and instructional methods used by the academy staff.

The trip provided an opportunity to gain valuable experience, expand knowledge, and compare training and organizational systems in the field of fire protection in Poland and Estonia.
