Barbara Kozłowska and Izabela Kurowska from the Department of Didactics Organisation and Monika Osiewicz from the WIBiOL Dean's Office of the Fire Academy participated in staff mobility within the Erasmus+ programme, visiting our partner university - Technical University (TU) of Varna in Bulgaria.

The aim of the visit was to improve skills, including language skills, exchange information on university administrative processes, and become familiar with the infrastructure and administrative organization of the Technical University of Varna.

Meeting the lecturers from Romania, who visited the university at the same time, allowed for a wider exchange of experiences.

The Technical University of Varna provides education at various faculties and levels: bachelor's, engineering, master's and doctoral degrees. The mission of TU is to prepare qualified engineering staff to ensure technical and technological development in regard to public needs. The University focuses on development by introducing new fields of study, e.g. Artificial Intelligence or Intelligent Transport Systems (Automotive Electronics).

A secondary school is also run at TU Varna, where pupils are prepared for future studies at the university. In addition, students have several laboratories at their disposal, a library with more than
a dozen computer workstations and online access to library collections. The university also runs a comfortably equipped café, providing a place to relax, study or meet.

The Erasmus+ mobility was an opportunity to learn about the partner university, to exchange experiences and good practices. Also, it is a source of inspiration for further work. The opportunity to get to know a different culture and to observe everyday life in Varna was invaluable.
