On July 24, 2024, the Fire University was visited by a delegation from the Estonian Rescue Board. The delegation included chiefs and experts from various departments of the Board at both national and regional levels.

Since the start of the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, the Estonian Rescue Board has undertaken intensive efforts in the field of civil protection. In recent years, significant progress has been made in improving threat notification systems (such as sirens and SMS alerts), developing large-scale evacuation protocols, providing shelter, strengthening crisis management frameworks, and enhancing community preparedness, resilience, and operational reserves.

In light of these efforts, representatives of the Estonian Rescue Board expressed interest in visiting our institution, which specializes in civil protection issues. he delegation had the opportunity to attend a brief lecture on the operations of the Fire Academy and familiarize themselves with the equipment used by the fire and rescue service.

We thank the Estonian Delegation for their visit and fruitful exchange of experiences!
