n Monday, June 17th, at the Collegium Civitas, an official opening of the visit by the delegation from the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC). The event was attended by high-ranking officials from public administration, representatives of government agencies responsible for security, and PPSC authorities. The plenary session included the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Poland, Ms. Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, and the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski. The Fire University was represented by the Dean of Faculty of Safety Engineering and Civil Protection, Maj. Adrian Bralewski, PhD Fire Eng.
On Wednesday, June 19th, as part of the continuation of the visit, the Fire University, in cooperation with PhD Katarzyna Maniszewska, Vice-Rector for International Relations at Collegium Civitas, organized another stage of the program for the delegation. The visit to the Fire University was presided over by the Vice-Rector for Education and Students, Col. Tomasz Zwęgliński, PhD Fire Eng., prof. Fire University.
The main purpose of the visit was to exchange experiences between the Polish and Philippine universities, particularly in the area of responding to natural disasters. Modern equipment of the State Fire Service was discussed, which generated significant interest among the Filipino guests. The delegation also showed interest in the operation of the National Rescue and Firefighting System (KSRG) and the functioning of Volunteer Fire Brigades, sparking curiosity to learn about Polish solutions in the organization and cooperation of rescue services. Our guests also had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a presentation on the Rescue Training Centre of the Fire University, as well as visit the modern laboratories of the university, including the medical rescue laboratory.
