Today, the Fire University had the honour of hosting a delegation from the Republic of Albania, led by H.E. Ambassador Mimoza Halimi and the Director General of Fire Protection and Rescue Services, Gen. Arben Cara.
The guests were officially welcomed by COL Paweł Fliszkiewicz, MSc Fire Eng., Vice-Rector Commandant for Operations, who introduced the role and importance of the Fire University within the Polish system of education and training for fire protection services.
During the visit, the delegation attended a presentation on the Fire University, including its organizational structure, key tasks, and educational offer covering both civilian study programmes and training dedicated to uniformed services. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the Polish system of firefighter education and training, as well as to exchange experiences in this field.
The guests visited selected training facilities and laboratories, where they were introduced to modern teaching infrastructure and solutions used in the education of future firefighters and safety professionals. They also had the opportunity to learn about the operations of the Fire and Rescue Unit of the Fire University and its role within the national emergency response system.
The programme continued with a visit to Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, where the delegation explored the Rescue Training Centre, Logistics and Development Base of the Fire University. The visit included a presentation of infrastructure used for specialised training and practical exercises, which are a key element in preparing firefighters for operational duties.
Additionally, the delegation observed rehearsals for the Central Firefighters’ Day celebrations, gaining insight into preparations for one of the most important events in the Polish firefighting community.
The visit constituted an important step in strengthening international cooperation, enabling the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of fire protection systems and professional training.
